Gregg Allman: January Tour Dates Announced, New Album ‘Southern Blood’ on the Way

Allman Brothers legend Gregg Allman looks to have a busy 2017 ahead of him.

On Tuesday, he announced a string of tour dates that will carry him through the holidays, with a pair of gigs lined up for the Lucas Theatre for the Arts on December 30 and 31. He’ll then spend much of January on stages in venues throughout the United States, playing 12 shows between January 3 and January 21. Visit his website to view the full itinerary.

This activity is leading up to the release of Allman’s new solo album, Southern Blood, which was recorded with his backing band and producer Don Was at FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. When released, it will be Allman’s first record of solo material since 2011’s Low Country Blues.
