The unparalleled career of Neil Young will be commemorated in a fantastic new photography exhibit being put together by the Morrison Hotel Gallery, and just in time for Young’s 71st birthday on November 12.
Titled “Long May You Run,” this exhibit will make an appearance at the Morrison Hotel Gallery in Los Angeles (running from November 11 to November 16), New York City (on December 2) and at Fleetwood’s General Store in Maui, Hawaii on January 13, 2017.
The exhibit will feature photographs from throughout the decades, including the work of some very notable photographers. From the press release:
The photographers represented by Morrison Hotel Gallery have been with Young, onstage, backstage, and offstage, for it all. Long May You Run will showcase the work of photographers Joel Bernstein, Danny Clinch, Henry Diltz, and Julie Gardner. Diltz and Bernstein’s images document the first few decades of Young’s formative years with Buffalo Springfield, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and as a solo artist. Danny Clinch’s images snapshot the glory days of 1990s until now, and Julie Gardner is the new face in the show — her work captures the freshness of the artist as he continues to stretch and grow six decades into his incredible career.
Needless to say, this looks like a truly special exhibit. The photographers involved are all top-tier talents at their craft, especially RCM friend Henry Diltz. If you’re anywhere near any of these three cities during the exhibit’s run, do make an effort to check it out!
