Eric Clapton to Play Gigs in New York City and Los Angeles in March 2017

Guitar legend Eric Clapton doesn’t tour much these days, but on Monday he announced a quartet of concerts set to take place in March 2017.

On March 19 and 20, Clapton will perform at Madison Square Garden, and the following weekend (March 25 and 26) he’ll do the same at the Forum in Los Angeles.

Special guests Gary Clark Jr. and Jimmie Vaughan will take part in all four shows, so this is obviously a can’t-miss night of music.

Rolling Stone revealed Clapton’s backing band for these shows:

Clapton will be joined by keyboardists Walt Richmond and Chris Stainton, drummer Steve Gadd, bassist Nathan East and vocalists Sharon White and Michelle John.

Needless to say, you’ll want to make it out to one of these shows if you’re remotely close and/or interested — Clapton’s rather unpredictable in terms of his live performing these days, after all.

I am crushed! Such a huge EC fan, ever since I saw CREAM in 1968. I have no income, and will finally begin receiving SS retirement in the middle of January. Tickets will surely be gone by then. Figures…

Saw Clapton with Steve Winwood at the Garden, he only played there and LA. A year later they toured multiple cities. Really good both times.

Hopefully this tour expands also, like to Columbus, OH, where he lives.
