Queen‘s “Bohemian Rhapsody” is a song that everybody knows. Everyone.
It’s part of the cultural lexicon thanks to Freddie Mercury’s passionate delivery, unmistakable vocal work and the operatic nature of the song, which swells in dramatic fashion to match its lyrics — and now those lyrics inspired a short film that’s been making its rounds on the Internet lately.
In the clip, which stars a young man who (you guessed it) just killed a man, he confides in his mother and prepares for a gun battle with waiting police officers. It’s impossible not to chuckle just a bit at some of the delivery of the lyrics, especially the “Galileo!” sequence, which is carried out impressively and pretty creatively in the video.
